As he went along, he saw a man blind from
birth. His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his
parents, that he was born blind?"
"Neither this man nor his parents
sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might
be displayed in his life. As long as it is day, we must do the work of
him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in
the world, I am the light of the world." - John 9: 1-5
While
we -- the followers of the one who called himself "Jesus the Christ" --
are in this world, his light shines in us. Let God's work be displayed
in you my brothers and sisters. Peace.

John 6:26-27
Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, you are looking for me, not because you saw miraculous signs but because you ate the loaves and had your fill.
Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval."

I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal

John 1:1-5 (King James Version)
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not."

Luke 14:12-15
"Then Jesus said to his host, 'When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not
invite your friends, your brothers or relatives, or your rich
neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be
repaid.
But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind,
and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.'"
"When one of those at the table with him heard this, he said to Jesus, 'Blessed is the man who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God.'"

Luke 4:20-30
Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him, and he began by saying to them, "Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing."
All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips. "Isn't this Joseph's son?" they asked. Jesus said to them, "Surely you will quote this proverb to me: 'Physician, heal yourself! Do here in your hometown what we have heard that you did in Capernaum.'"
"I tell you the truth," he continued, "no prophet is accepted in his hometown. I assure you that there were many widows in Israel in Elijah's time, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and there was a severe famine throughout the land. Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to a widow in Zarephath in the region of Sidon. And there were many in Israel with leprosy in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed--only Naaman the Syrian."
All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this. They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him down the cliff. But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way. -- Luke 4:20-30

Mark 16: 4-7
"... when they [Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Salome], looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.
"'Don't be alarmed,' he said. 'You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, "He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you."'"
